The Cognitive and Big Data Analytics Driven Networks Project is an international collaborative research program between Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and The University of Hong Kong (HKU) led by Prof. Vincent Chan at MIT and Prof. Victor Li at HKU. We aim to use new cognitive techniques, big data analytics network functionalities, and a rigorous architecture approach  to deal with the complexity of future fast network management and control, and thus to improve network performances. We are one of the seed funding winners of Greater China Fund for Innovation 2015-2016  of MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI).

“The  MIT  Greater  China  Fund  for  Innovation  is  a  vital  part  of  the  MIT  strategy  to internationalize  MIT  research  and  education. Established  in  2010,  this  seed  fund  aims  to  facilitate  early  stage  joint  research  between  MIT  faculty  and  their  Chinese  counterparts  (universities,  research  centers,  and  industry)  in  an  effort  to  help  launch  early-‐stage  international  projects  and  collaborations. $2  million  has  been  fulfilled  thus  far  with  plans  to  increase  the  fund  to  $20  million.  The  Greater  China  Fund  for  Innovation  falls  under  the  umbrella  of  the  MISTI  Global  Seed. ”   —— MIT MISTI-CHINA 2015-2016 Newsletter
